Diabetes and Cardiovascular issues

Diabetes and heart problems are closely linked. Diabetes is a disease in which the body can’t control how much sugar is in the blood properly, so there is a lot of sugar in the blood. Over time, high blood sugar levels can damage blood vessels and nerves, which can lead to a number of problems, such as heart problems.

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is a group of diseases that affect the heart and blood vessels. Some of these conditions are coronary artery disease, heart failure, stroke, and peripheral artery disease. People with diabetes are more likely to get CVD than people who don’t have diabetes. In fact, CVD kills more people with diabetes than anything else.

Diabetes makes the risk of Cardiovascular disease higher for more than one reason. One is that having too much sugar in your blood can hurt your blood vessels and nerves, which can cause inflammation and make your arteries narrow. This can make it harder for blood to get to the heart and other organs, which raises the risk of heart attack, stroke, and other heart-related problems.

People with diabetes are also more likely to have other things that put them at risk for Cardiovascular issue, like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and being overweight. People with diabetes are already more likely to get Cardiovascular disease because they have diabetes.

Cardiovascular disease risk can be lowered by taking care of diabetes with lifestyle changes (like a healthy diet and regular exercise) and medicine. People with diabetes need to work closely with their health care team to keep their condition under control and lower their risk of heart problems.

Causes of Cardiac Issues With Diabetes

Most diabetic cardiac care is caused by the long-term effects of high blood sugar on the blood vessels and nerves, which can cause inflammation and narrowing of the arteries. This can make it harder for blood to get to the heart and other organs, which raises the risk of heart attack, stroke, and other heart-related problems. People with diabetes are also more likely to have other things that put them at risk for heart disease, like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and being overweight. These things can make their risk of getting heart disease even higher. Managing diabetes well with lifestyle changes and medicine can help lower the risk of heart problems and improve the overall health of the heart.
